Valleys and gutters refreshed.
Today was a very simple tidy up of the valleys and trays on this property as water was entering through the roof and running down the cavity walls.
We started by removing a row of tiles to allow access so we could remove all the old weathered felt and prepare for the fitting of the eve trays.
Eve trays are an environmentally friendly and long lasting alternative to traditional edging methods. They offer the same benefits as their traditional counterparts in addition to benefitting from technological advances and more cost effective manufacturing methods, in the end meaning lower costs to the consumer.
As you can see, once the new trays and tiles were refitted, an impenetrable barrier to water was created.
We then moved on to the valleys which were in need of repointing to ensure they stayed watertight.
After carefully repointing the valleys, this roof was once again watertight and able to withstand the elements for many years to come.
Once the valleys were repointed the job was completed. The day ended with a very happy customer and a very watertight roof.
